IVUN encourages its Members to network with the following organizations on issues related to disability.

The National Council on Disability (NCD) is an independent federal agency and is composed of 15 members appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate. It provides advice to the President, Congress and executive branch agencies to promote policies, regardless of the nature or severity of the disability and to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve economic self-sufficiency, independent living, and inclusion and integration into all aspects of society.

Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund, founded in 1979, is a leading national civil rights law and policy center directed by individuals with disabilities and parents who have children with disabilities.

The United States International Council on Disabilities is a federation of US-based non-governmental organizations, federal agencies and individuals committed to advocacy and action on behalf of the global disability rights agenda. Initiatives include US and global ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the development of the Global Disability Rights Library.
